Bio

I am a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and movement coach practicing in Waterbury and Burlington. The first time I encountered East Asian medicine was as a patient in a lot of pain. My job was making me sick. I was in my mid-twenties, working for a high-profile billionaire in midtown Manhattan (not that one), where making errors was not an option. The healing experience was so profound that a few weeks later, I left my job and stepped onto a new path, which would become my life’s work.

With 14.5 years of experience as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and 25 years of experience in bodywork, East Asian medicine, and Daoist healing arts, I have a deep commitment to my practice and medicine as an art and craft. I previously owned a community acupuncture clinic in Nevada City, Northern California, as well as a private practice where I worked one-on-one with individuals. I love providing acupuncture treatments in a communal setting and am excited to collaborate with Brooke.

Having grown up visiting family in Vermont, I officially moved here in 2021 to be closer to them. I live in Hinesburg with my partner and our three little Sagittarians.

About Acupuncture (and how it works combined with a sound bath)

Acupuncture, which has its roots in traditional East Asian medicine, has been practiced for thousands of years. This therapy is based on the principle that vital energy, known as Qi, flows through specific pathways in the body called meridians. According to traditional East Asian medicine, health issues arise when the opposing forces of yin and yang are out of balance. By inserting fine needles at specific points along these meridians, acupuncture aims to restore the harmony of Qi and enhance the body's natural healing abilities.

Combining acupuncture with a sound bath creates a truly harmonious healing experience. Acupuncture works to unblock energy pathways and promote the flow of energy, leading to both physical healing and emotional well-being. The vibrations of the sound bath allow deep healing frequencies to penetrate the body, facilitating emotional release and mental relaxation. Together, these practices create a powerful healing environment that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
